FAQs

Here are a few frequently asked questions that will get you started!

  • What is the average cost of a window cleaning?
Google provides - and I can confirm - that the average cost for a residential window cleaning hovers around $150 to $350. Assume that each windowpane will cost $8 to $12 (to leave some margin). Now, affecting factors are going to be contaminant level, what story the window is, window type and a few other factors. It also stands to reason that that standard window cleaning is different from a strip clean and construction cleans. A strip clean is shown below.
  • Will I be stuck at home while my windows are being cleaned?
NOPE!!! If you are having an exterior-only cleaning there is no reason at all for you to be there! If you are having both inside and out cleaned, we just need access inside. We are Insured for that very reason, so you are completely covered and stress-free!!!
  • How do you handle hard water stains on windows?
We handle hard water stains through a few different methods depending on the severity of the affected area. Starting with the minimum amount of force needed we will work our way up towards extreme measures to get all of the hard water stains out of the pores in your glass. The pricing is bid on a case-by-case basis.
  • Do you offer any discounts or packages for regular window cleaning services?
Usually we don't offer discounts, but we do have our Frequent Cleaning Club! How it works is that after an initial cleaning is done to strip the stubborn contaiminants off of the glass we then set up a prorated schedule to come back and keep the glass clean. By preventing contaminants from hardening on the glass we are able to economically and effectively clean and keep your glass perfect year round!
  • What makes you "Superior" to the competition?
Bringing to bear 10 years in manufacturing, the processes are tailored to your needs taking into consideration: contaminant types and density, window design, frame type, glass type, and desired outcome. With years of dealing with the most difficult jobs, the level of experience and expertise rendered is truly superior.
  • How long does a window cleaning take?
Depending on the job it can take anywhere from 1 man-hour to 20+ man-hours. We can give you an estimate with your quote if you like! There are several factors that will add time to a job like if its a contruction clean, if the windows are hard to reach or if there are just 100s of windows.
  • How often should I get my solar panels cleaned?
Preferrably, solar panels should be cleaned yearly at a minimum. The protective coating on solar panels doesn't do well with detergents or abrasives. Which is a problem. Dirt and grime harden with time. Hardened, stubborn contaminants require detergent and mild abrasives to be removed efficiently. The delimma should be obvious. If solar panels are neglected, contaiminants will harden preventing optimal light transimission to your solar cells, which will just get worse the longer you leave them. Then it is expensive to remove hardened dirt. Twice as expensive. All while your solar panel efficiency suffers. In summary, yearly is the minimum for many reasons.
