What is a water fed pole system?

In essence a water fed pole system is witchcraft, at least that's what it seems. On our system -unlike the competitions - are two pre filters to get rid of sediment and chlorine, two massive reverse osmosis filters and a big DI tank to remove all dissolved solids in the water producing a result similar to distilled water.

So to begin, a water fed pole system is designed to take a house’s or business’ water pressure to drive a series of expensive filters to remove all dissolved solids in a water supply. Think of a bougie Britta filter that cost upward of $5000. This then goes to a magic pole made of carbon fiber that is able to deliver purified water to the glass surface several stories up. At the end of this pole is usually a brush made with boar’s hair (AKA Miss Piggy on Rogaine). The strange properties of this hair allows it to remove extremely stubborn contaminants with relative ease.

The upsides of water fed pole for a home owner or business owner is that with its use there is no need for a ladder or contractors to be in elevated areas unless and architect really just hates people and makes a window impossible to reach from the ground (I've seen quite a few and I always wonder what happened to that architect in high school to make them hate people this much).

Another upside of water fed pole is that it is completely safe around any and all plants, it is quite literally just water. No solvents, detergents, or chemicals whatsoever.

Unlike spray and wipe cleaners - cough cough you know the ones - Water fed pole systems do not leave any detergents or surfactants behind. Very similar to squeegee cleaning where the solution is stripped away, water fed pole system doesn't leave anything for dirt and grime to stick to. We've all cleaned windows with spray and wipe cleaners, just to have the windows hazed over the following week.

In conclusion, a water fed pole system is obviously prohibitively expensive for a random homeowner to keep on hand unless window cleaning is just your lifelong passion. But in the hands of a professional window cleaner the results on light to moderately dirty windows is unparalleled. Water fed pole systems are not designed for heavy debris or construction cleanup, but are great for maintenance and light work.
